WA Area Pre-Conference Assembly is attended by Area Officers, Area Coordinators, Al-Anon Information Service (AIS) Liaisons, District Representatives (DRs), Group Representatives (GRs), and the WA Area Alateen Conference (WAAC) Chair. All members are welcome. Everyone has a voice but only GRs may vote.
The purpose of the Assembly is to discuss Area Business, discuss agenda topics for the World Service Conference and initiate projects. Officers and Coordinators report on their actions, problems, and intentions since the Fall Assembly. Each DR is requested to give a two-minute report on what is happening in their district and share ideas. Standing Committees, Thought Forces, and Task Forces report on their progress.
The Pre-Con Assembly is held just prior to the Delegate attending the World Service Conference, hence the name Pre-Conference. It is held the first Saturday in April, or if it interferes with Easter, the last weekend of March.
