MESH Coordinator (My Experience Strength and Hope Speaker meeting - 2nd Saturdays in Shoreline)
District
District(s)District 20, District 21, District 22, District 23
MESH Coordinator Duties:
Monitor the mesh.coordinator@gmail.com email account.
Be the contact point for St. David’s Emmanuel.
In the fall, creating new MESH host group schedules for the new year (i.e. copy the old one and remove some of the info for the new year)
Contacting the groups in the schedule to see if they are willing to host the same month as in the past year
Accounting for unhosted meetings to fill in the holes, scrambling at the last minute when a group cancels, troubleshooting. I’ve been trying to get to the point where meetings only host one meeting a year if possible. Some groups really want to host more than one, that’s ok, but I’d rather have more groups host to spread the love
Making announcements at MESH, particularly when trying to get new host meetings.
Sending reminder emails about hosting the next month (I send this usually the Sunday after MESH)
Getting the host group name and names of speakers and forwarding them to our flyer maker so that she can compose the flyer.
Send the flyer to AIS (eventseditor@seattle-al-anon.org). I just look for the most recent email and copy it.
You are not required to be a key holder, but it is convenient.
Monthly meeting (2nd Saturday) + 4 hours / month
1+ year starting November 2026
helpful to know gmail, google docs, being friendly
